Install the Extension

1. Open Opensure in Chrome Web Store
2. Click Add to Chrome
3. Done

Create Your Account

1. Click the Opensure icon in Chrome
2. Click Sign Up
3. Sign up with Google, Microsoft, or email
4. If using email: check inbox and verify

Your account is ready. No IT tickets. No approval chains.

Connect Your Database (Required)

Want to save your searches? Connect a free Supabase database.

1. Go to supabase.com — create free account
2. Create a new project (takes 2 minutes to provision)
3. In Supabase, go to Settings → Database and copy the Connection string (URI)
4. In Opensure, go to Connectors
5. Click Supabase → paste Database URL
6. Download the schema SQL and run it in Supabase SQL Editor
7. Click Test Connection → Save

Your credentials are encrypted. Opensure never stores them in plaintext.

Use It

1. Navigate to any business website
2. Click the Marketfinder icon
3. Click Scan This Business
4. Get a ranked list of carriers likely to quote
5. Click Save to My Database (if connected)

That's the whole workflow. Paste a business, get carriers.

What Gets Saved

If you connected a database:

• ✅ Business name, address, industry classification
• ✅ Carrier matches and search results
• ❌ NOT your policy data or client PII

Troubleshooting

Extension not showing up?

• Refresh the page
• Check Chrome extensions are enabled
• Make sure you're logged in

Database connection failed?

• Double-check the connection string
• Verify your Supabase project isn't paused
• Try regenerating the connection string

Scan not working on a site?

• Some sites block scrapers
• Try a different page on the same domain
• Report the issue: [email protected]
