Installation Guide - Marketfinder Agent (Persona 1)

For: Insurance agents using the MarketFinder Chrome extension

Time: 5 minutes


What You'll Need

  • Google Chrome browser
  • Email address
  • Supabase account (free tier works)

Step 1: Install MarketFinder Extension

  1. Go to Chrome Web Store
  2. Search for "Opensure MarketFinder"
  3. Click "Add to Chrome"
  4. Click "Add Extension"

Step 2: Create Opensure Account

  1. Click the MarketFinder extension icon
  2. Click "Get Started"
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Check your email for verification link
  5. Click verification link
  6. Set your password

Done! Your tenant is auto-provisioned.


Step 3: Connect Your Database

  1. Go to https://supabase.com
  2. Create free account
  3. Create new project
  4. Wait 2 minutes for database provisioning
  5. Go to Settings → Database
  6. Copy "Connection string (URI)"
  7. Return to Opensure dashboard
  8. Go to Settings → Connectors
  9. Click "Add Supabase Connector"
  10. Paste connection string
  11. Click "Test Connection"
  12. Click "Save"

Your credentials are encrypted - Opensure never stores them in plaintext.


Step 4: Start Using MarketFinder

  1. Navigate to any business website
  2. Click MarketFinder extension icon
  3. Click "Scan This Business"
  4. View classification results
  5. Click "Save to My Database"

Your searches are now saved to your Supabase!


What Data Is Stored?

  • ✅ Business name, address, industry classification
  • ✅ MarketFinder search results
  • ❌ NOT your insurance policies or client data

This is a convenience tool - your actual policy data should use the Developer setup (Persona 2).


Troubleshooting

Connection Test Failed?

  • Verify connection string copied correctly
  • Check Supabase project is active (not paused)
  • Ensure database has public access enabled

Extension Not Working?

  • Refresh the page
  • Check Chrome extension is enabled
  • Verify you're logged into Opensure
